Our new paper on mid-infrared group IV nanowire lasers (Paper link) led by Youngmin Kim and Simone Assali has just been published in Science Advances! By closely collaborating with Prof. Oussama Moutannabir’s research group, we report the first demonstration of optically pumped lasing from bottom-up grown group-IV nanowires integrated on silicon. This success is the result of our long-standing partnership, and it paves the way for innovative mid-infrared photonic devices. Congratulations to the entire team for this achievement!
